This course discusses the process of caries and its control by preventive and conservative techniques. It emphasizes the sound understanding of the basic principles of management of dental caries and placement of different restorative materials.
Third Year
  
This course introduces the student to clinical training and patient treatment. By fulfilling certain clinical requirements, the student and throughout the course is assisted to acquire the clinical skills needed for examination of the patient, assessment, diagnosis, developing sound treatment planning, restoration of teeth and root canal therapy.
Fourth Year
  
This course aims at introducing the student to clinical conservative dentistry through reviewing the basics and principles of conservative dentistry. It emphasizes the importance of case evaluation, diagnosis and developing treatment plan, considerable emphasis is given to new restorative procedures and related dental materials.
Fourth Year
  
This course discusses advances achieved in the field of conservative dentistry. It emphasizes the close relationship between conservative dentistry and other fields of dental sciences including Periodontic and oral surgery. The course pays special attention to occlusion, TMJ Dysfunction and its management, emergency treatment with emphasis on the role of Endodontics.

This course aims at introducing the student to clinical conservative dentistry through reviewing the basics and principles of conservative dentistry. The theoretical component of this course aims at insuring that the students are well aware of the latest developments related to fixed and removable prosthodontics. The practical component of this course will be in the form of clinical sessions which aims at having a student capable of evaluating his/her gained skills and develop new diagnostic and clinical skills related to fixed and removable prosthodontics, including laboratory procedures.

The theoretical content of this course will be in the form of seminars and will include the basic principles of diagnosis and treatment planning for all types of fixed and removable cases whilst the practical component of the course will be conducted as clinical sessions. The course in its theoretical and practical components aims at enabling the students to diagnose, provide a treatment plan and manage cases that require treatment using various types of fixed and removable prosthesis, including the laboratory procedures under supervision.

Course Description : This course aims to improve knowledge in new materials used in clinical dentistry, their manipulation and uses in fixed and removable prosthodontic fields, maxillofacial prostheses and dental implants. In addition to the laboratory studies on physical and chemical properties for these materials their biocompatibility and effects on biological systems.

Course Description : This course provides basic esthetic considerations in operative dentistry ,focuses on color, discusses tooth colored direct and indirect restorations, adhesion theories ,and adhesive restorations ,treatment of discolored teeth or teeth with anomalies by simple or complex interventions.
